....is my first name. I am based in Amsterdam where I was also born. For as long as I can remember, my camera has been my number one accessory. I am almost never without it.
In the eighties, I had a short and unsuccessful university career before becoming a self-taught photographer. It wasn’t long before magazines commissioned me to shoot images for their stories. Slowly I created my niche: interior design photography. The time was on my side, and I found myself in the middle of an interior design magazine boom. I was never bored; there was so much work and I had the opportunity to explore places all over the world. We (a handful of interior photographers and stylists) felt like we were stepping into new territory. We found ourselves at the cusp of the new definition of interior design.
before i knew it became serious, a ‘thing’ I could now call my ‘career’. I continued to photograph homes and interiors; inspirational, one-of-a-kind spaces, but along the way I added travel and food to my areas of expertise. Currently, I am still doing what I love: photographing home interiors, exotic places and food. Please visit my image library to see what I have photographed recently and what I have for sale.
Before you go, here is a list of clients I worked with alongside some of my other professional accomplishments:
HEMA, PotteryBarn, Ikea, Praxis; TommyHilfigger, RaboBank, ArcLinea, FORBOFlooring, PakhuisOost en PolsPotten, Claus&Kaan Architects.
I also photographed interior design books and cookbooks with the following publishing houses: Quadrille, Weldon Owen, Terra, Sanoma and Conran. and of course magazines. many magazines all over the world
